Dress Code
General Information
Research and experience show that the way students dress has a direct influence on how they behave. Since the Meadow Park School Community expects only the BEST behavior from our students the School Advisory Council
reached consensus to initiate a mandatory Uniform Dress Code Policy.
Shirts & Blouses
- Polo style shirts-any solid color
- Meadow Park school shirt (polo or t-shirt) or sweatshirt
- Meadow Park PE Uniform
- Any solid color sweatshirt
Shoes
- Shoes must be worn at aII times.
- Sneakers, loafers, or other closed-toe shoes are required
- No open, unsafe footwear such as flip-flops, sandals, clogs, platform shoes or soles over one inch
- No heelys with or without wheels
- No crocs
Pants & Shorts
- Pants and shorts must be solid navy blue, black, gray, or khaki.
- Students may wear navy blue or black denim on FRIDAYS or Spirit days (no holes or patches)
- No short-shorts or spandex
- The length of shorts/skorts/skirts/jumpers must be no more than 2-3 inches above the knee
- Pants/Shorts must be worn at the natural waistline
Items Not Allowed
- Hats or Caps
- Tank tops, halter tops, midriffs
- T-shirts with inappropriate language or pictures
- Clothes with holes
- Backless or cut-off clothing
- Large or oversized earrings/jewelry
Dress Code Violations
Violations will result in:
- Parent contact
- Student required to change to meet the dress code.
- Additional consequences will apply to habitual or major infractions
- Students with inappropriate shoes will sit out of P.E. or recess
*Exceptions are made on picture days and some spirit days. The school will notify you of any changes
*Please label your child's name on sweatshirts
